Parent involvement is encouraged and nurtured at The Merit School.
All of our parents are members in The Merit School Parent Advisory Board with a group of parent volunteers assuming leadership roles. Parents participate in planning holiday luncheons and classroom parties, help our teachers with classroom duties and field trips, and support school fundraising programs.
The Parent Advisory Board plans and funds a number of family-focused fun events including the Fall Festival, Family Movie Night, School Holiday Show, Spring Dance, and our end of the school year celebrations. They decorate the school for holiday celebrations and support our staff recognition week activities.
Our community activities support area family and children’s charities. Each Merit School focuses on different charities that are significant to their own communities and families.
