Our Kindergarten Curriculum places a heavy emphasis on reading and writing as well as incorporating math, science, social studies, and critical thinking skills.  Interactive lessons are implemented through our promethean board, hands-on activities, and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math). Our programs welcome the natural learning processes of children and incorporates teaching methods that recognize and respect the way children learn best.

Throughout the year we partner with families during events, activities, conferences, and hands on projects. The Merit Schools are proud to be Cognia Accredited and part of the Virginia Council of Private Education (VCPE).  This accreditation is forward-thinking and laser-focused on improving educational opportunities for learners and helps strengthen the schools’ continuous approach to learning.
