My name is Yolanda Parker and I am the Acting Director at The Merit School of Arlington. I pride myself as an engaged, collaborative, and goal-oriented program leader. I strive to deliver quality programming for School-Age children with an emphasis on high-quality and meeting and exceeding industry standards. My staff and I will work together to facilitate activities that spark the children’s interests and make them excited to be part of our program.
I attended the University of Richmond in Richmond, VA and have more than 20 years of experience with School-Age care and education programs. I am also a Red Cross certified CPR Instructor.
I began my career in school-age care and education as an enthusiastic teacher. I have since held roles in various teaching and leadership positions such as School-Age Care Director, School-Age Care Field Director, and most recently, School-Age Care Support Specialist supporting many School-Age programs through evaluating and assessing the quality, effectiveness, and compliance of the programs. Additionally, I developed and implemented employee training for both year-round and school-age camp programs to support lead teachers and school administrators.
I can’t wait for your family to join us at Merit School Arlington! Looking forward to meeting you soon,
Yolanda Parker
